Delete your account and data

If you're considering deleting your Addy account and all associated data, follow this step-by-step guide to ensure your account is securely and permanently deleted.

Step-by-Step Guide​

Step 1: Access Addy AI Extension Options​

  1. Open Chrome Browser: Launch Google Chrome.
  2. Navigate to Extensions: Click the extensions icon (puzzle piece) in the top-right corner of the browser.
  3. Find Addy: Locate the "Addy" extension in the list.
  4. Open Options: Click the Addy extension to access its options page.

Step 2: Go to Addy AI Settings​

  1. Check Settings Page: Ensure you're on the settings page of the Addy AI extension (gear icon at the top of the page).
  2. Navigate to Settings: If not already there, click the gear icon to open the settings page.

Step 3: Initiate Account Deletion​

  1. Scroll to Delete Account: On the settings page, scroll down to the "Delete Account" section.
  2. Click Delete Account: Select "Delete my Addy account and data."

Step 4: Confirm Deletion Request​

  1. Confirm Action: A pop-up will appear. Click "Yes, delete my account and data" to proceed.

Step 5: Email Verification​

  1. Check Your Email: Look for a secure link sent to your email address associated with your Addy account. The link is valid for 24 hours.
  2. Click the Link: Open the email and click the provided link to continue.
  3. Check Spam Folder: If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder.

Step 6: Finalize Account Deletion​

  1. Review Data: On the Addy website, review your data before deletion.
  2. Confirm Deletion: Click the Delete button to permanently delete your account and data.

Step 7: Receive Confirmation​

  • After completing the deletion process, a confirmation message will appear.

Didn't Request Account Deletion?​

If you receive an email about account deletion without requesting it, contact our support team immediately to secure your account.
