Step-by-Step Guide to Creating an AI Assistant

Follow these steps to create your own AI assistant on Addy AI:

1. Open the Assistants Page

  • Click on the Assistants icon in the side menu.
  • This will take you to the Assistants page. If you don’t have any assistants yet, the page will be empty.

2. Click "Create Assistant"

  • Click the Create Assistant button to start creating a new assistant.
  • A form will appear where you can enter the assistant's details.

3. Fill in the Assistant Details

  • Assistant Name: Enter a name for your assistant. For example, "My Fannie Mae Assistant."
  • Organization: Choose the organization where this assistant will be used.
    • If you don’t have an organization yet, type a name (e.g., "Test Organization") and click Add to create it.

4. Configure Additional Settings

You can customize your assistant with these optional settings:

  • Preferred Language: Select the language in which your assistant will respond.
  • Custom Instructions: Add specific guidelines for your assistant, such as:
    • Respond in short sentences.
    • Use an informal tone.
  • Knowledge Base: Add training data for your assistant. (Refer to the dedicated guide on setting up a knowledge base.)
  • Team Members: Add team members to collaborate with the assistant. (Check out the separate guide for this feature.)

5. Save Your Assistant

  • After filling in the required details, click Save Assistant.
  • Once saved, the assistant's training status will show as Train. This means the assistant is ready for training.
